TV and movies have fucked us all up, have us all expecting these Big Huge Romances and Significant Connections. Real life ain't like that - connections between people cook up slower and sweeter than anything in movies. People are amazing and fascinating and sure to do whatever they please, no matter what you hope they do. So enjoy their warmth and company and light within them and don't try to douse that light by holding them to a script you've got in mind for them. Be grateful for those you connect with and don't despair at those you don't - no one connects with everyone.
